It Takes a Community
As a non-profit organization, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without charitable contributions from our community members. Christian Haven Home has been caring for our community’s elders since 1961, and it is the kind donations and gifts from our community members, in all shapes, sizes and forms, that have helped us continue our mission.
Join Our Team
Christian Haven Home is always looking for the right people to join our team. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation as a home where people are treated with kindness, respect, and the love of Christ. If you share those values, we’d like to talk to you. We are always accepting applications for employment.

Become a Volunteer
Christian Haven Home always welcomes volunteers. We wouldn’t be able to provide the wide variety of activities that we do now if it weren’t for our wonderful, dedicated volunteers.
Come in and join a card game, host a craft, read to a resident with a visual impairment, lead a men’s group, assist with a community service project, lead games on the Wii — the sky is the limit. We aim to provide as many varied activities to our residents as possible; if you have an idea for an activity, we’re excited to hear it!
To volunteer at Christian Haven, please call our Life Enrichment Coordinator Marianne at 616-842-0170.
There are many ways to give to Christian Haven Home. Every gift, big or small, helps us fulfill our mission of service to the community at an affordable price. Whether your gift is a monetary contribution or a donation of your time or talent, it will make a positive difference in the lives of our residents. Here are some of the ways you can give to Christian Haven Home:
One-time monetary gifts are accepted via personal check or cash. All donations to Christian Haven Home are tax-deductible.
If you are considering making a donation to Christian Haven Home in memory of your loved one, know that this lasting expression of affection will benefit the residents of Christian Haven Home for years to come. Envelopes for memorial donations can be picked up in our office, or we can arrange to bring memorial envelopes to the funeral home.
Gifts-in-kind are donated items other than cash. These often include tangibles like art supplies, games, or puzzles, as well as intangible gifts like your services, your time, and your talents.
Christian Haven Capital Fund
This fund was established to benefit the financial needs of Christian Haven Home. Only the interest income of these donated monies may be used at the discretion of the board of directors.
Our Benevolent Fund has been established to provide assistance for current or incoming residents who require financial assistance to pay for their care at Christian Haven Home. Following an application made by a resident or family, a committee of members of our Board of Directors and our Administrator will screen applications. If approved, funds will be administered as a supplement to monthly fees.
